Guards Stripe Irish Poplin Burgundy

A woven guards stripe tie in Royal Irish poplin, made as part of our own Tweed line. This is one of the classic British tie forms, carrying something of the world of regiments, schools and club ties, playful and strict at the same time. The dry, matte sheen of the poplin tempers that formality slightly, while the softer rib keeps the stripe from feeling too sharp or insistent. In burgundy, the effect is deeper and slightly more dressed. A proper striped tie with character, but in a more restrained register than a traditional repp silk.

With distinctive matt finish, this mix of silk warp over a fine wool weft Royal Irish Poplin drapes beautifully. Yarn dyed wowen stripes.

The Care

We do not recommend washing or dry cleaning our 3-fold ties as it is impossible to recreate the soft folds of a premium tie unless you take it apart and remake it.
