Fair Isle Shetland Slip-over Sienna
The traditional Fair Isle knit consist of several colours in a complex pattern, but only two colours are used together for each row. The non visible yarn is stranded on the back side making the garment almost twice as thick as a plain knit.
Our own Fair Isle vests and slip-overs are knitted from a supersoft lambswool yarn that has a three dimensional ring spun Shetland look without making the garment too heavy and itchy. Here is the slip-over in rust, cream and a little bit of turquoise. Elevates any tweed jacket with its rustic folklore appeal.
