For Bladen tailored jackets: If over 185 cm height you might need a long size (UK**L) and if under 175 you might need a short size (UK**S). Sleeves can be shortened (a lot) or lengthened (3-4 cm) and waist can be taken in (up to 8 cm) and let out (up to 6cm) at an alterations tailor. This is why picking size from your chest is so important.

This new Shetland tweed quality is woven by Lovat Mill, Scotland, and gives a rustic look without being too bulky. Here in a brown herringbone matching the Gunton Shetland tweed jacket.

The Cloth

100% Shetland wool tweed from specialist weaver Lovat Mill. This cloth in the Holm quality, contains a uniquely wide range of fibre thickness. Rich colour mixtures and are crafted from the coarser fibres, while the finer micron wool provides the luxury drape and handle. Traditional softness in a versatile lighter weight jacketing cloth.

Lovat Mill has been producing fine cloths on the banks of the river Teviot in Hawick, Scotland, since 1826. It is today a world leading weaver of fine tweeds with all production made in house on highly modern equipment.

The Care

Take care of your tailored wool garments by airing and brushing to avoid frequent dry cleaning. Wet stains should be treated at once by soaking up any surface liquid with a tissue. Then immediately alternately dab the stain softly with a wet cloth (to dilute the stain) and a dry tissue (to absorb the stain) until the stain has been removed. If still visible after drying, consult a processional dry cleaner. You may press with a damp cloth under the iron (wool setting) the parts of the garment that is not canvassed (all parts except for the front quarters and lapels of a jacket) to flat out some wrinkles. Be patient and do not press too hard.
