Ursula Wax Jacket Sand
The Ursula comes from a particularly interesting chapter in Barbour’s history. During the Second World War, Captain George Phillips of HMS Ursula had Barbour adapt its protective motorcycle clothing into a two-piece suit for submarine service. This Heritage Collection version retains much of the original character, with its belted hip-length cut, high collar with throat strap and large patch pockets.
In Sand Thornproof waxed cotton, the smooth, slightly lustrous finish complements the jacket’s strong military lines. The detachable hood, pivot sleeves and relaxed cut make it a practical piece of everyday outerwear, while the belted waist gives it a distinctive silhouette. A fine example of Barbour drawing on the less familiar parts of its archive.
