Solid colour grenadine ties are very versatile but this fine woven quality from Drake's has an edge in more formal settings. High lustre, fine texture and deep pure clarity of colour. Handmade in their dedicated factory in the heart of east London with a handrolled untipped finish. Here in cream white especially selected for the Swedish tradition of wearing white neckties with dark suits at funerals when part of the family to the deceased.

The Cloth

This fine woven, or Garza Fino, grenadine is a solid colour finely textured fabric woven in a loose open weave.

100% silk

Drake's grenadine cloth is woven in Italy from a high-twist silk yarn on wooden looms dating back to 1928. Grenadine is a type of a leno weave, and comes in solid, patterned or striped qualities.

The Care

We do not recommend washing or dry cleaning our 3-fold ties as it is impossible to recreate the soft folds of a premium tie unless you take it apart and remake it.

Due to the fineness of the silk used and the complexity of the weave, grenadine ties are susceptible to pulls and snags and should be treated with extra care.
