100% heavyweight luxury 8 Wale cotton corduroy from Brisbane Moss. The 3101X quality is their flagship fabric, and popular all over the world as the best of the best. In this quality we cut our garments with the pilé facing downwards for best durability and resistance to rain, stains and dust.

Corduroy is a woven cloth where the smooth face of the fabric is interrupted by equally spaced ribs, or races, running the length of the piece. Prior to dyeing these are cut on specialised machines to form ribs of raised pile known as wales which the differentiate the character of each corduroy product.

Brisbane Moss is the original English manufacturer of corduroy and moleskin fabric since 1858. They also have a long history of making best quality cotton drill and canvas cloth.

You have two options to clean your Bladen cotton trousers:

1. Dry clean to preserve original colour and texture to the maximum. Expect no shrinkage. Recommended if you wear your trousers mostly for more dressy occasions or if part of a suit.
2. Water wash inside out gentle cycle at 40 degrees Celsius, spin at low speed, hang dry. Do not tumble. Iron warm (two dots), preferably with a clean cloth in between. Will shrink 2-2,5 on length, please take into consideration when hemming the trousers. Water washing your trousers will give them a more casual appearance preferred by many customers and the traditional look for everyday trousers worn with a sports coat.

Try to minimise dry cleaning or washing your trousers for increased longevity. Often brushing and airing trousers will be enough.
